A Massachusetts cannabis home delivery business will use Jointly’s AI-powered app that's intended to help consumers learn what kind of marijuana works best for them.
Delivered Inc., a Clinton-based cannabis home delivery business, is partnering with Jointly, a software company for the cannabis industry that touts an app that will help consumers buy the right kind of marijuana for their needs.
The partnership is Jointly’s first official launch in Massachusetts. Jointly’s headquarters are in Los Angeles.
“For the first time, people can shop for cannabis by talking to an AI that has real data about what works best for people based on the reasons they’re looking for,” said David Kooi, Jointly co-founder and CEO, in a statement.
The partnership will allow Delivered to use Jointly’s AI-powered app that it says helps consumers learn what kind of cannabis works best for them. The app has a tracking function and offers ways to explore different products. The AI, called Spark, is informed by over 500,000 logged cannabis experiences from Jointly users, according to the company.
It promotes what it calls “purposeful cannabis consumption,” which includes best practices for cannabis use based on specific goals.
“Through our partnership with Delivered, Inc., we’re bringing this innovative approach to Massachusetts for the first time, enabling shoppers to make informed choices tailored to their individual needs and preferences, driven by a vast and unbiased dataset. This not only enhances the shopping experience but also fosters a deeper understanding and more effective use of cannabis,” said Kooi.
Delivered shoppers will be able to use Jointly’s tech to inform their next cannabis purchases.
Delivered Inc. is a social equity and minority owned cannabis business. It was founded in 2020. Last month, it was one of 50 cannabis businesses in the state to receive a grant through the Cannabis Social Equity Trust Fund.
