Trulieve has proposed building a fourth medical marijuana dispensary in Escambia County.
The company is seeking to redevelop a space off Pine Forest Road that used to hold Wayne’s Family Diner. The approximately 3,200-square-foot, family-owned venue at 100 Loblolly Lane closed down in 2022.
Trulieve already has two existing locations in the Pensacola area; one can be found on East Nine Mile Road and the other is open on North Davis Highway.

Additionally, Trulieve filed a separate proposal earlier this month to create a third store in the county by redeveloping an existing convenience store on Lillian Highway.
Escambia County’s Development Review Committee has not yet set a review meeting for either the Loblolly Lane or the Lillian Highway project yet. If the committee approves Trulieve’s plans, the company would be set to add its third and fourth dispensaries to our area. It would also bring the county’s dispensary count up to 21.
Trulieve is a medical marijuana company with locations in multiple states across the U.S. like Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania. However, Florida is where a majority of its stores are located.
Florida is home to 157 Trulieve locations, or about 70% of the company’s 223 dispensaries nationwide.
Trulieve offers a variety of cannabis products, including for oral and topical uses.
Florida’s cannabis laws allow for qualified patients to purchase up to 2.5 ounces of the plant within a 35-day timeframe unless an exception is approved by the state’s Department of Health Office of Medical Marijuana Use.
Trulieve has two dispensaries open within Escambia County and an additional two locations can be found in Santa Rosa County.
In Escambia County, Trulieve is located at 1901 E. Nine Mile Road and 3119 N. Davis Highway.
Over in Santa Rosa County, Trulieve has a location at 3271 Gulf Breeze Parkway and in Pace at 5037 U.S. Highway 90.
