Cannabis Dispensary Shop speaks out after second burglary this month – KAUZ

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – Cannabis Dispensary Shop Director Nathan Wilson woke up to a call on the morning of March 27 that his shop had been broken into.
A suspect used a gun to break a glass door to enter the store, then the suspect jumped over the counter and took multiple items, including Delta 8 THC products. In total, the suspect came away with $50 worth of products. Despite this bad experience, Wilson said the store will be resilient.
“I think that people know we have good product. I try to turn this negative situation into a positive situation. Maybe people are just becoming aware that our product is good enough for them to try and take. I don’t know. I don’t know how exactly it corresponds, but we are still going to be here. We are not going to go anywhere and losses are minimal,” Wilson said.
This is the second time in March that the business has been broken into. Wilson said the business would upgrade its security measures to prevent future robbery attempts.
“I think that this was someone that had broken in places before but he wasn’t ready for the establishment to be ready. We do put products up to be safe. Since that incident, we have put up safety protocols, new poly urethane and non-broken windows. We have the metal bars across the windows, so hopefully, we can avoid what happened,” Wilson said.
Despite this tough month for the business, Wilson says he will lean on their customers and the community for support during this time.
“We’re gonna stay strong, and the help that we get is gonna help us so much. I do feel a little different asking for help because I am a helper. I do help so many people, but I think the community will give it right back. It’s all love and no one wants anyone getting hurt. No one wants break-ins happening or any negativity in this community. I want people to know that this store is all about positivity and helping people. That’s all we’re about,” Wilson said.
The suspect in the first robbery has been caught, but for this latest burglary, the suspect still has not been found at this time. However, the Wichita Falls Police Department crime scene unit did collect fingerprints of the suspect.
Wilson encourages the public to call the WFPD if they know anything that can lead to the arrest of the suspect.
