For over 7 years, Mendez and her business partner Kimberly Cargile have been working toward opening a cannabis dispensary in Woodland, and on Jan. 31, their work came to fruition as they became the first to open a dispensary for business within city limits. Hundreds of folks started lining up an hour before the ribbon cutting ceremony at noon on Friday to be among the first in Woodland to purchase cannabis in a legal dispensary.
