Monterey’s first cannabis dispensary is set to open its doors for the first time.
Off the Charts told KSBW 8 that they are planning a soft opening on Saturday, Jan. 25. They will open starting at 9 a.m.
The dispensary is located at 734 Lighthouse Ave.
They will be open for business seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. starting on Saturday.
Off the Charts is a dispensary chain with multiple locations across several California cities.
“Our dispensary offers a diverse range of cannabis products, including premium flower, edibles, tinctures, and topicals,” said Anthony Gonzales, a co-owner. “This opening marks a significant milestone for Monterey, and we are excited to contribute to the community’s growth and well-being.”
It comes after the City Council of Monterey voted unanimously to allow retail cannabis sales in 2024. However, there are four “zones” in which dispensaries may operate in the city.
The zones are located on Fremont, Lighthouse Wave Street and downtown.
Gonzales further stated that once they have had the chance to build a strong local customer base they will host a grand opening celebration.
