Arrest made in Northeast Jackson cannabis dispensary break-in – WAPT Jackson

Jackson police say a man is in custody in connection to the break-in at DABBS Cannabis Dispensary. In a news release, they say Isiah Gathrite, 28, is charged with the January 7 burglary at the business on Old Canton Road.

Jackson police Chief Joseph Wade said they worked with the business owner and community to find out who was responsible.
“We look forward to continuing to work with the owner and all our business owners here in the city of Jackson. We cannot afford for businesses to be burglarized, robbed, because those are our tax bases,” said Wade.
The owner of a Jackson cannabis dispensary is offering a reward after a break-in was caught on video.
“The alarm is going off. I’m actually getting the alert. I’m actually watching it at 2:30 a.m. when they are in the front lobby,” said DABBS owner Bobby Britton.
The burglars broke the glass to get inside the dispensary.
“They were in and out within 5 minutes,” Britton said. “By the time I got off the phone with the Jackson Police Department, they were already out.”
Britton said the thieves made off with $20,000 worth of cannabis products, which they stuffed in their pants. Money was also taken from the register.
The dispensary was offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of one or both of the suspects.
