MOORESTOWN, NJ — A cannabis dispensary would go in a Moorestown industrial park under a proposal that the Planning Board will review on Thursday.
The retailer would operate at 876 N Lenola Rd., which is part of a 34.6-acre industrial park. Nearby businesses also include a warehouse, a truck repair center and a junk removal service.
Lenola Wellness LLC’s dispensary would take up 5,000 square feet — less than 1 percent of the industrial park — and have 112 parking spaces.
The property is in the Business Park 1 Zone District — a part of the township where approved dispensaries can operate. Lenola Wellness is seeking the Planning Board’s permission to operate there and make some exterior changes.
Among them, Lenola Wellness is seeking a variance to create a loading space for deliveries. Although the business says the property has ample space for that purpose, the township doesn’t currently allow loading spaces at the proposed facility.
Lenola Wellness expects to operate from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 12-6 p.m. on Sundays — the timeframes when dispensaries can operate in Moorestown.
Faith Reilly, of Marlton, is listed in township documents as Lenola Wellness’s owner, while Thomas J. Reilly IV, of Moorestown, is listed as the manager.
Under Moorestown law, only a handful of cannabis businesses can operate in the township. And they’re limited to a few zones, including business park districts.
No dispensaries have opened in the township yet. But last fall, the Planning Board approved one for 1245 N Church St. — part of a township-owned building that also includes the police station and municipal court.
