In a sea of carbon-copy THC gummies, Area 52’s UFO Max Gummies stand out. The company is a trusted name in the legal cannabis space. The company’s delta-8 gummies have won several awards and have been named the top choice by several prominent outlets and cannabis experts over the years.
The UFO MAX Gummies are the company’s newest innovation — offering raw, all-natural delta-9 THC in a form that’s both potent (15 mg each) and fully compliant with the 2018 Farm Bill. This impressive formulation is made entirely from CO2-extracted hemp.
Beyond the THC, there’s also 100 mg of CBD, 5 mg of CBG, and a variety of trace cannabinoids. These gummies are a true full-spectrum gummy in every sense of the term.
Area 52 doesn’t stand out just for its mind-bending products; it also believes in being environmentally friendly every step of the way. Their hemp is grown using sustainable farming methods, and they don’t use toxic metals and solvents in their extraction process.

Royal CBD diligently lab tests everything they produce while ensuring everything in these gummies is vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, and non-GMO.

The team at Exhale Wellness has carefully crafted a balanced formulation of cannabinoids to add some depth beyond just another Delta-9 gummy. These include the synthetic cannabinoid HHC and THCp, Delta-9’s more potent cousin.
Everything is Farm Bill-compliant, containing 0.3% or less THC, and the gummies are plant-based and lab-tested for potency.
Exhale’s products are legal, but it also prides itself on having a 30-day money-back guarantee and low-key packaging.
Pros & Cons of Exhale Wellness D9 Gummies:
PRO: Nice combo of D9, HHC, and THCp.
PRO: Lab-tested for purity and potency.
CON: Reviews are sporadic, and many seem to be fake.
CON: Alternative cannabinoids are illegal in many states.
Premium Jane has been around for a little while. They started out selling CBD but recently branched out with 500 mg bottles of Delta-9 gummies. We like Premium Jane’s gummies because they have both 10 mg of D9 and 10 mg of CBD for a smooth take-off and landing.
As you might have guessed, these gummies are vegan-friendly. They bring the unique and tasty guava dragon fruit flavor alongside the now-classic blue raspberry.
Premium Jane makes a point of posting third-party lab reports on their website for anyone to review.
Pros & Cons of Premium Jane 500 mg Delta-9 Gummies:
PRO: Unique flavoroptions.
PRO: Free shipping to US customers.
CON: Low dose for the cost.
CON: Lots of poor ratings on Reddit.
If you want something gentler and calming, Cheef Botanicals Delta-9 Gummy Cubes have a slightly lower dose at 7.5 mg of D9 per gummy. Balancing this out is 1 mg of each CBC, CBG, and CBN to take any edge off.
These tasty cubes adhere to the industry standard of being plant-based and non-GMO, using MCT coconut oil and plant-derived pectin.
While these aren’t the most powerful gummies on the market, Cheef still recommends taking half of one if it is your first time, which is pretty solid advice for all these products.

Pros & Cons of animals Delta-9 Gummy Cubes:
PRO: Blend of D9, CBC, CBG, and CBN.
PRO: Plant-based formula.
CON: Only 7.5 mg per gummy (low dose THC).
CON: Reviews online are inconsistent (many seem faked).
This is a full-spectrum D9 gummy that 3Chi says is ‘dispensary grade’ and made from naturally grown and Farm Bill-compliant hemp. 3Chi carefully excludes harmful chemicals from production and seeks organic ingredients.
A single gummy has 10 mg of D9 and comes in blue raspberry, black raspberry, watermelon, and strawberry.
3Chi is running a virtual candy store with a huge variety of D9 THC edibles like cookies, chocolate, shots, and seltzers.
Pros & Cons of 3Chi Delta-9 THC Gummies:
PRO: A ton of different flavor options available.
PRO: Tested for pesticides and preservatives.
CON: Not as strong as other mentions on this list (just 10 mg THC).
CON: Some reviewers said they had to take several gummies for a full effect.
Here’s another bag of candy that demands self-control: CannaBuddy’s D9 Mixed Fruit Snacks. These have no cannabis flavor, so count how many you eat. Every gummy contains 15 mg of D9 and 15 mg of D8.
CannaBuddy’s nice mix of D9 and D8 creates an entourage effect, the phenomenon of different cannabinoids working in synergy for potent effects.
Also worth a look are CannaBuddy’s THC Pharma products with a variety of other cannabinoid blends.
Pros & Cons CannaBuddy Delta-8 / Delta-9 Mixed Fruit Gummies:
PRO: Mixed fruit flavor is delicious.
PRO: 15 mg of both D8 and D9.
CON: Finding authentic reviews on Reddit or other forums is hard.
CON: Delta-8 THC is illegal in some states. Order at your own risk.

In the United States, some states have legalized recreational use of cannabis. The 2018 Farm Bill, a federal law applying to the entire country, made the sale of hemp products legal as long as they contain less than 0.3% dry weight of THC. For example, a gummy weighing five grams could contain up to 15 mg of THC.
Weed is fully legal in states like California, Colorado, and Oregon. These states have regulations in place for the production, sale, and possession of cannabis, including THC gummies.
This would apply to most states due to the 2018 Farm Bill, which legalized hemp-derived products at a federal level as long as they contain less than 0.3% THC by dry weight. However, the legal status of cannabinoids derived from hemp, like CBD and delta-8 THC, can vary.
Despite federal hemp legality, some states have specific regulations or bans on these substances. For example, delta-8 is banned in Arizona, Colorado, and Virginia.
Other states consider delta-8 THC to have the same regulations as delta-9, limiting any gummies that contain more than 0.3%. These states include Alaska, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Utah, Vermont, and Washington.
If you’re looking for THC gummies that are legal in all parts of the US, go with the Area 52 UFO MAX Gummies. They’re fully compliant throughout the United States and use the raw delta-9 form of THC (no isomerization process). You can also get these gummies in a milder 5 mg form (UFO Gummies Classic).
Make sure the gummies you buy explicitly state that it’s made from hemp and contain no more than 0.3% THC by weight. Avoid delta-8, delta-10, HHC, THCP, or THC-O products if you’re unsure about your specific local state laws.
People have been using cannabis for medicine, rituals, and pleasure for thousands of years. Archeologists have found evidence of its use around the world, and many suspect it was part of rituals and even religions. The plant has also been prized for its utility in creating fabric, rope, and other textiles.
Inside cannabis is THC, a group of psychoactive compounds found in the cannabis plant, and is an umbrella term for cannabinoids like Delta-9, Delta-8, THCp, and others.
Cannabinoids interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system, specifically with receptors like CB1 or CB2. THC mainly impacts the CB1 receptor, which ultimately causes the “high.”
Modern exploration of the cannabis plant reveals hundreds of active compounds, which are then isolated and included in products to achieve very specific results. Synthetic cannabinoids also can skirt the law, further incentivizing their discovery and production methods.
The term THC is used pretty loosely but usually refers to Delta-9 or D9 THC. The classic cannabis high is due to D9. While other cannabinoids are generally very similar, D9 is the standard we compare everything else to.
Delta-9 is the quintessential high — known for inducing creative ideas, good mood, humor, increased enjoyment of music or movies, and intense relaxation.
On the flip side, delta-9 (or THC of any kind, really) can also cause confusion, forgetfulness, anxiety, and paranoia.
Delta-9 starts to be psychoactive, around 5 mg, but some people prefer doses as high as 20 or even 30 mg. Generally, the more often you use THC, the higher the dose you’ll need to take for the desired effects.

Delta-8 is probably the most common form of THC after delta-9 — at least, it was for the last few years. Now, most people are turning back to delta-9 for its stronger effect profile, better legal status, and lack of risk for contamination.
Chemically, delta-8 and delta-9 are very similar — so the effects are too. Delta-8 is roughly half as potent and has a much stronger couch-lock effect.
Dosing of delta-8 starts around 10 mg, but most THC gummies contain either 20 or 30 mg for a full effect. Some people need much higher doses, extending into the 50 mg range. Always start with a low dose first and increase slowly over time.
Delta-8 is banned in 3 US states, and many others have banned products containing more than 0.3% of the total weight. These are the same rules for delta-9, so it’s generally better to go with this stronger and more natural cannabinoid instead.
Delta-10 THC is comparable in terms of both effects and potency to delta-8. It’s about half as strong as delta-9 and has a more “heavy,” almost sedative-like effect. Some users disagree with this, stating that delta-10 THC is more stimulating, but this is likely due to early marketing efforts by alternative cannabis manufacturers in 2020 and 2021. Blind testing has proven time and time again that the effects of delta-10 THC are virtually identical to delta-8.
While delta-10 THC is technically found in the raw cannabis plant, the concentration is far too low to be able to extract it in its raw form. Most delta-10 THC on the market today is synthetic.
A standard dose of delta-10 is around 20 mg, but it could take up to 50 mg to get the desired effects. If you are new, just start low and go slow.
Like delta-8, delta-10 is illegal in 3 states and banned in concentrations over 0.3% in about 25 others. You’re better off with a delta-9 THC gummy instead.
HHC (hexahydrocannabinol) is a phytocannabinoid found in very tiny amounts in cannabis. It’s the hydrogenated version of delta-9 THC, which means the double bond has been broken and saturated with hydrogen molecules. This doesn’t do much to change the effects aside from cutting about 10–20% of the potency. The real strength of this cannabinoid is its long shelf-life — which can extend several years further than conventional THC and remain perfectly viable.
Unfortunately, HHC needs to be manufactured or isomerized in a lab. This carries a lot of risk for contamination in the final product. Lots of harsh chemicals are required for this process, which, if not removed entirely from the final product, could have serious health implications.
For dosing, follow the same guidelines as delta-9 THC — starting with 5 to 10 mg and adjusting up or down to find the sweet spot.
THCp (tetrahydrocannabiphorol) is the strongest form of THC and is naturally occurring in cannabis. However, because it’s so rare (1% of the plant), it must be made from other cannabinoids in a lab.
THCp has the interesting characteristic of being esteemed as 30 times more potent than THC. Start with low doses first, as things get crazy very quickly. Products usually contain very small amounts, but the extra juice can make all the difference if you are a seasoned vet. Still, expect the usual effects; just dial up to, well, 30.
If you are interested in experimenting with THCp, start at just 1 mg and go from there. Be careful with this one. It’s more potent but also way more likely to cause side effects such as rapid heart rate, anxiety, paranoia, and nausea/vomiting (AKA “greening out).
THC-O-acetate or THC-O was under the microscope of researchers in 2023 for claims it was ‘psychedelic.’ Now, taking enough edibles can be pretty trippy, but THC-O received the official stamp of ‘not psychedelic.’
Users put THC-O at three times more potent than Delta-9. Otherwise, the effects are the usual suspects — ideas that seem smart at the time, creative food choices, and crippling paranoia if you take too much.
Unfortunately, THC-O is undeniably synthetic and, therefore, illegal in the United States. That hasn’t stopped companies from selling it, though, but be careful when ordering this product, as it could land you in some serious heat.
Everyone is a bit different when they are high. You might feel relaxed, silly, creative, curious, lazy, and happy. That said, the opposite is possible, too. The world becomes an interesting place, and sensations like touch, taste, and sound take on different qualities.
The key is dose — too much makes the experience stressful, while the right amount can shift your whole day in a good way.
Cannabis has physical effects, too, like increased heart rate, dry mouth, and red eyes. Also, prepare to be hungry.
How long the effects of THC last depends on how you take it. Inhaling smoke or vapor is quick to come on and leave. Edibles like gummies start slower and last longer.
Usually, edibles kick in around 30 or 45 minutes. But beware — they can sometimes take hours. Don’t be the person who says, “It’s not working,” and eats another cookie. Wait two or three hours before dosing again.
On average, plan 6 hours for an edible. Depending on tolerance and the product, it could be more or less. Big doses mean longer trips, and high doses of edibles can mean a journey of 7+ hours.

Yep, microdosing THC is a thing. A microdose is about one-tenth of a full, psychoactive dose. The goal is to not feel high and instead get subtle benefits over time.
To microdose, just take your regular dose of edible THC and cut up gummies so they are the right size. For example, cut the candy into ten pieces if you normally eat one 10 mg gummy. Or just take tiny bites.
Yes, THC can and does interact with some medications. Always talk with a doctor when consuming THC gummies alongside other prescriptions or over-the-counter medications.
This applies to all other cannabinoids, too.
Overdosing on THC is possible. The effects are very uncomfortable but are rarely (if ever) fatal.
The experience of a THC overdose usually involves cold sweats, intense dizziness, anxiety, paranoia, and vomiting. It’s extremely uncomfortable and worth trying to avoid by limiting your doses until you’re familiar with how THC affects your body individually.
Anyone with severe heart conditions or psychiatric disorders would benefit from speaking with a medical professional before taking cannabis. Overdoses, in these cases, could carry additional risk.
For healthy individuals, cannabis and THC are generally safe. Like any substance, it’s possible to take too high a dose, but scientists have never found a lethal dose of THC. We don’t recommend this, but eating 500 mg of edibles might be a pretty big journey, and you could be in bad shape for a while. There’s no answer to how much is too much since it depends on tolerance and other factors, so start with a low dose and increase it once you know the effects.
Since there’s no limit as to how much THC a person can take, how does one determine what’s a good level for THC gummies?
If your only goal is to get high, you can always choose from one of the strongest THC gummies or take a bunch of low-THC gummies. Generally, anything over 15 mg of delta-9 can be considered a strong THC gummy, but anyone with a tolerance might want more like 25 or 50 mg.
For reference, 5 mg is a low dose and is suggested for those new to cannabis.
These amounts vary if the gummy has a different type of THC. Double it for D8 and D10 and halve it for THCP. HHC and THCA amounts can stay the same.
If you want a more nuanced experience, which we strongly suggest, you’ll need to take a little more time to look at your options.
Things like strain, type of THC, and knowing your goals (besides getting high) can take your experience to the next level. And isn’t that what we’re all after?
Again, asking what is the best THC strain ever will leave you empty-handed. Instead, determine what effects you’re after. From there, you’ll know if sativa or indica edibles are better and what will be the best potency of THC for your needs.
There’s a seemingly endless supply of THC strains, and they all fall into one of three categories: sativa, indica, or hybrid (a mix of the two). Despite the theories, neither sativa nor indica is stronger. In fact, this isn’t even a reliable way to tell what the strain’s overall effects will be. This idea is outdated and not backed by science, but it’s still very prevalent because it’s easy. The story goes that sativas are more energizing and give a euphoric head high, while indicas are relaxing and provide a strong body high.
If you want accuracy, look at the strain’s cannabinoid levels and dominant terpenes. If you’re looking for a potent strain that will get you high the longest (but don’t want to do the homework), look into Permanent Marker, Original Glue, or Runtz. Keep in mind that cannabis affects everyone differently!
Another factor is the type of THC and how much of it the gummy contains.
There are two main types of THC gummies — delta 8 and delta 9 — but as we mentioned above, there are many others. While the overall effects are similar, there are some details that might make you choose one over the other.
It also tells you how many milligrams to look for. One hundred milligrams is about the strongest you’ll find (in gummies), which is way more than what most people can manage. For delta 9, 5-15 mg is average, meaning one edible is the equivalent of one half to one full joint.
You made it to the bottom, so thanks for sticking around. We know we didn’t cover it all, so if you feel like we left something out, keep reading to get answers to some FAQs.
There are! Cannabis has plenty of health benefits and is used medicinally in many US states. THC is a potent pain reliever and can help with sleep, appetite, and anxiety. However, if you want to know what’s better for pain, CBD or THC gummies, try products high in CBD. Royal’s CBD Cool Relief Balm for soothing topical relief or Area 52’s Full-Spectrum Gummies with 100 mg of CBD per piece is great at reducing mild pain and inflammation.
However, it’s best to talk to a doctor first.
If you’re wondering how long the effects of a 10-mg edible last, the answer is about 6-12 hours. They peak around 3 hours, though it all depends on whether you’ve eaten, your tolerance, and your metabolism.
If you want to know how long THC is detectable in your system, expect it to take 3 or 4 days at least. However, this depends on how often you use it, how much you ate, and personal factors. Smoking THC allows your system to clear it out quicker, but it’s best to avoid every form if you have a drug test coming up.
THC edibles that give the best high will be made with high-quality hemp, clean extraction processes, natural ingredients, and a great deal of diligence and honesty. Lab tests should be made available to the public so customers can verify each product.
Of course, this leads to the question of what brand is best for THC gummies. This list is a great place to start, but if you’re looking for the one that wins for all-around best, we have to give the prize to Area 52 for its full-spectrum gummies. These have a potent blend of THC and CBD and are top-shelf when it comes to quality.
