SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – 6 Bricks Springfield and Green Meadows, two well-known cannabis dispensaries in the Pioneer Valley, are giving back to veterans in the community this Giving Tuesday.
6 Bricks is giving back through monetary donations that benefit the Patton Alliance for Veterans.
The donation was for $2,150. The Green Meadows Patton Alliance for veterans focuses on charitable donations and educates the community on medical cannabis products that can help to improve the lives of veterans in the area .
Both 6 Bricks Springfield and Green Meadows say that veterans deserve to have access to cannabis resources that help to promote their health and well-being.
CEO and Founder Payton Shubrick told 22News, “We know from our data here in store that the top three uses are sleep, stress, and anxiety,y and despite not having a medical license we do know that there are many veterans dealing with PTSD. The reality of the situation is cannabis can be extremely beneficial for them.”
Bob Patton with Green Meadows Patton Alliance for Veterans says when they come across veterans, they say that cannabis products have helped them more than opioids. He says while cannabis does not solve all veteran issues such as PTSD, it can still be a remedy for them.
