BOSTON (WPRI) — Marijuana regulators in Massachusetts are loosening up some of the rules.
The Cannabis Control Commission unanimously voted to get rid of the rule requiring two employees to be in a vehicle for all deliveries.
One person can now make deliveries as long as the product has a retail value of up to $5,000.
Business owners welcome the change, saying the old rule added unnecessary costs.
New regulations also increase the number of delivery licenses any individual or company can have and expand the hours deliveries can be made.
These new regulations will go into effect on Friday, Nov. 22.
