Westchester’s first adult-use recreational cannabis dispensary set the bar high for premium cannabis use in the county when it opened its doors in December 2023. The dispensary was founded by John Ruggiero and his business partner, Chris Carey. The two are Mount Vernon natives who were stoked to open their shop in the city in which they grew up to give back to the community. The shop carries a wide range of flower and edibles, among other products. The budtenders are extremely knowledge and can answer any questions you have to insure an elevated cannabis experience. The Westchester location has a welcoming, decked-out storefront, and it also offers delivery to any city in New York.

Not only is Etain a women-led business, but it was also the first cannabis dispensary in New York to carry the Buy Weed from Women collection. Its curated in-store selection highlights women-led CBD and health and wellness brands. The trio of women who operate Etain are family, and the dispensary was founded in memory of their grandmother, Frances. Granny Franny was a light in everyone’s lives and, during her battle with ALS, Amy, Hillary, and Kelley Peckham began researching medical cannabis and its potential medicinal benefits. Being able to provide quality products is at the forefront of their mission. Etain recently teamed up with artist Claudia Gold for its first Artist Series Motif Magnetic Vape Pen Battery and Blend Pod collaboration. Not only did Gold design a limited edition vape pen battery, but she also created the “Claw Botanica” mural on display in the White Plains location.
