A resolution that would open the application process for commercial cannabis delivery business permits from existing commercial cannabis retail “storefront” businesses goes before the Stanton City Council on Tuesday.
Although the city has issued four delivery permits, none of them began operations within two years by the November 2023 deadline, and – considering what’s called a “thriving cannabis delivery market” – city staff has urged the council to reopen the process.
The proposed resolution would open a new application process for four existing “pot” stores to apply for delivery permits. The application period would be between May 9, 2024 and June 30, 2024.
The council will meet in City Hall, 7800 Katella Ave. starting at 6:30 p.m.
