When Connecticut's first cannabis delivery service began operating in June, it served only five towns. Now more than a third of the state can order cannabis delivery to their door.
The state’s first and currently only operating cannabis delivery service is expanding across 46 Connecticut towns and cities, including much of the state, according to a release. Customers must be at least 21 years old and a driver's license is required to make a purchase.
Green Coach Delivery, owned by former football coach Jack Cochran, announced Tuesday that recreational cannabis delivery will add 22 municipalities, with medical cannabis delivery accessible in 34 municipalities.

Cannabis delivery had been limited to Vernon, Manchester, South Windsor, Rockville and Glastonbury. Green Coach will now offer delivery from Curaleaf’s Stamford dispensary to surrounding towns, Fine Fettle’s Manchester medical dispensary, Fine Fettle's Newington dispensary and Fine Fettle’s dispensary in Willimantic.
Though Green Coach was the first cannabis delivery service to get up and running, there are currently 12 licensed cannabis delivery services in the state.
Cochran must be delivered to a customer’s legal address. For example, this cannot be a hotel or halfway house and deliveries are made to the front door, but not inside an apartment complex.

“In most cases so far we're seeing customers already at the door, coming outside as the driver’s getting there,” Cochran said.
The cannabis itself is purchased on the dispensary’s website, where delivery is specified. Customers will get confirmation and updates from the delivery service, and then the deliverer will verify identification.
